About the course

At LSC Malta we ensure that our modules cover each skill as well as subskills. We have theme-based lessons which allow our students to learn English and achieve marked improvement. This is done through input and output of the language.

Our students develop fluency, accuracy and appropriate uses of English language. This is enhanced by studying in a multi-cultural environment. Our programmes are designed for students who wish to study long-term and benefit from exceptional guidance, monitoring and feedback throughout the course.

Learning Styles

Here at LSC we conduct a 'Needs Analysis' for each student upon arrival, which helps us determine each student's learning style. We believe that blending a student's learning style into our approach is an effective way to ensure progress. This method has proven to be effective as our success rates are very high.

While on the Programme

Structure is essential! Our highly qualified and experienced teachers follow a detailed syllabus using a variety of resources and in-class communicative activities.

Each module focuses on the introduction of a topic and the consolidation of the main language structure. Our lessons are designed to ensure full competence and understanding of the language.

Program Requirements and Details

Entry: Any level. (We offer classes at 8 internationally recognised levels from beginner to advanced.)

Upon arrival at LSC Malta. You will be guided through these steps:

• Sit a placement test to determine your level of English
• Receive a welcome pack
• Meet our Academic Team
• Join a class with other students of the same level
• Embark on a course to develop all four English language skills
• Receive constant guidance, monitoring and feedback
• Receive continual assessment through class tutorials, homework
• Sit for regular progress tests
• Build confidence in English

Our English programme is mainly designed to help students improve their ability to communicate accurately and fluently. The aim is that students can confidently communicate in English when in a social and work environment as well as the ability to progress on to other academic courses. LSC Malta's English Language Academy also prepare students for exams in a more academic setting.

• Develop effective learning strategies and research skills for application to academic writing.
• Build academic lexis and develop strong presentation skills.
• Read effectively for main idea identification, skimming and scanning for specific information, linking and organizing ideas.
